An Essay to MOE
I was asked by MOE to submit an essay to their HR department on 24 July and to send in by 25 July... goodness quite a bit of a tall order for me as i had an event today which totally took up my time... i am just wondering what have i written.. to be honest, i sent in the essay immediately after i have written as i felt that i have written what i really feel and did not wish to alter it...
PLUS i am sooooo tired.... aching aching... sighh...

Please tell us your key achievements, activities and interests and explain how they represent the values and beliefs that you hold strongly to
Working with people has been a passion of mine. I have come to contact with people from different age group and income criteria. Working in the helping profession has allowed me to have a better understanding of the needy group, families or individuals with issues.
Having the opportunities to work with the voluntary welfare organisations, self groups and grassroots have been the most fruitful. To be able to collaborate and working with these organisations has allowed me to establish a good rapport with the working partners within the community.
The working experience so far has enabled me to have a better understanding of the social service services in Singapore, the different types of agencies, the different clientele group. With the information, it has aided in my current work with the different clientele group.
To be able to constantly make a different in the people I work with has provided me with the drive to carry on further to work with people.
The two and half years of work with the youths, aged 11 to 17 years old have also enriched understanding of the ever evolving youth.
The youth sector has always been a passion as I have always held on the belief of working with children and youth has its tough times, however, with the right amount of work, some would be able to benefit from your efforts of helping.
The current job has given the opportunity of learning to work independently and also work as a team. Planning, organising and executing projects have also added spices to my work life. They are the constant challenges at work which puts me to the test. Being able to learn from the mistakes, accepting opinions from others has always been a motto I hold to. It has allowed me to be aware of the feedback and react better to situations.
In conclusion, the achievements, activities and interests have enriched the time at work which make it interesting and challenging. The beliefs and values that I hold strongly to are the driving forces behind my work and way of life.
