WORK work work
I have worked for 7days nonstop and still counting... a lot of my colleagues are also going through the same thing... working the while week without any break... and the feeling SUCKS... i guess i have not been doing events for abt 1 year. so a bit on the rusty and not so energetic anymore... was tired at abt 3pm... which in the past, i can make through the whole day with or without much sleep... but i guess my stamina is dropping..
Saturday was the job fair.. which in total, abt 30-40 staff were activated along with on the average of 15 volunteers on the average for the am and pm shift.. which means there were abt 50people running around! SIEOW... madness... its not really a big scale event.. so i don't know why so many staff were activated at the same time and the best thing is that we do not get any extra day off at ALL... our dear GM does not think of the welfare of the staff at all.. and that includes the buck teeth person... LOUSY... SO we are all not having any day off or half day to compensate the event at all...
This event was quite poorly organised.. at least from the way i see it... first of all.. admin prog.. in the staff duty list, there was no timing indicated for the duty listing... no GOH program or the day's program given out during the briefing which deprived the people who were activated for the event, the overview of the whole event.... next, is the logistics list... a lot of things missing or the A&W wanted to use pencil for the application form filling and the other people in her section wanted to use pen... according to some colleagues, there was actually an arguement on whether to use pens or pencils.. i nearly fainted when i heard that... AND she said she is not going to pay for the water for the job fair at all. as if teh money is hers.. she already spend way beyond the budget.. and she dare to make a BIG fuss.. this woman.. think she is going a bit too much and she is definitely inexperienced in preparing events.. thank god they prepared pens.. BUT the amt prepared was not really enough cos SHE gave the ones that the booth people packed for the booth itself to the employers and other parts of the program.. even better.. she did not allocate any water for the volunteers at ALL.. what an idiot.. got volunteers, never prepare water for them.. can somemore run out.. she only know how to apple polish the employers by giving them each booth (14 of them) a carton each.. and she did not prepare any for the staff at all.. so stupid.. plain stupid...
next was the WHOLE job team was activated to do set up at the venue for the WHOLE DAY.. how come need the whole day with SOOOOO many staff doing the setting up... the place was so vast.. what kind of set up did they do man? they also did not prepare the volunteer lisiting for me as well.. i had to do it on my own.. which i was plainly disgusted.. cos for events, if nec, you have to come back to the office to prepare the listing if you have not received it.. since you are the organiser.. you have to prepare everything.. and not leave to a participating officer... and you actually can tell me... " i didn't go back to the office at all cos was stuck at the venue to do set up" what was that suppose to mean.. i am suppose to do it? you did not even come ask me to help you with the listing.. thank god the colleagues sent out the listing before i left the office earlier... if not how? no listing lah.... at least take it with grace and not come up with this response.. i know you are stressed up.. and of cos super pissed cos you are just a puppet OIC... however, its something that you have to take note when you do any kind of events... so irritated...
Sunday was not much better.. was bitching with chip soon on the way to the private estate walk.. he was irritated with the publicity officer in charge who was of NO use or help to him... and i was so irritated with the stupid idiot who actually can say: think place the job officers closer to the finishing line cos they had an event yesterday and stood for a very long time.. so legs very tired.. what was the meaning of that.. ros and i not involved in the event right? only job officers.. SA also involved! somemore placed me at the furthest place... so irritated... but luckily, david was the safety driver.. and he picked up all the road marshals.. thus we didn't need to walk back...
I was so tired that i fell asleep during my japanese class.. my goodness.. i am never going to take morning classes anymore.. so sleepy every lesson.. cannot make it man.. test is coming and i am seriously worried.. i have to study harder man.. not been a good girl in studying.... so sad.... next level must make more time... GAMBATTE!
