A blessing in Disguise

Today was just like any thurdays that has passed, boring and irritating kids are annoying me a lot... BUT this was lightened by a friend of mine who came to visit me at my club today. So happy to have finally have a proper dinner at my workplace with someone, cos most of the time I don't have my dinner there nor do I like to eat alone at the club. She left after 6.30pm cos she had a paper on that day... A mock business law exam, I hope she did okie..

After work I've arranged to meet up with Roy and Chris at orchard.. Chris told me that they will be done with dinner at 9.30pm so I happily left my club @ 9pm, only to find out shortly after I locked up and on the bus that Chris was getting his hair cut right after Roy's but the original plan was that Roy was to get his hair cut and Chris's the next day.. So due to this impromptu hair cutting session, their dinner was delayed by more than half hour... And the thing was that Chris wanted to have dinner ALONE with Roy, which leave me out of the picture till they had their dinner...

win already loh.. I reached orchard in less than 10mins cos I had a straight bus there... Believe it or not, I was there by 9.15pm thinking that I will most prob wait for 15 mins which is fine.. but on the bus, I received a call from Chris saying that they haven't had dinner yet so I gave the guys the privacy they wanted and went to borders.. so sian cos I had to wait and the mood to go to the KTV pub was dampened.. I was almost on the verge of thinking of making my way home... however, I thought, "nevermind, I'll just pop by borders and if they are going to take a long time, I'll just head straight back to home.. limit prob not more than an hour starting from the moment I reached borders" I walked around borders aimlessly ), looking around for bargains and interesting books to read (seriously, I never liked waiting for people for more than 15mins)... lucky I had my best friend at the other line to keep me company if not I think I would have left after half an hour cos I am broke and cannot buy books, so no point looking at them... THEN something attracted my attention... It was cook books on sale! Hey that's something... I walked right up the section to take a look.. there were books on soups, comfort foods, spainish cuisine, thai cuisine etc...

can you believe it, I spent half an hour look at these books which after a while I got bored and went to find another book to keep myself busy... Just when I was about to call the guys to tell them that I'll make my way home, I noticed there was this "SALE" section whereby they bundled up 3 books and sold them at $33.60... I was so tempted to buy but I stopped myself.. as I was talking to my friend and looking through the books on SALE, I suddenly realised what was the title of the book that I accidentally dropped in the library bookdrop 3 weeks! I was elated! I was as happy as a dog with 2 tails.. it was my Jemima Jones by Jane Green book... I told myself that I have to get it back the next day...

It was a pain the neck to have waited for the 2 of them but it was blessing in disguise..I was able to recall what was the book that I dropped in the bookdrop cos I have been trying to find out what was the personal book that I dropped 3 weeks ago (before chinese new year) really blur lah... haahhaa... now I really wonder how do my friends stand me sometimes, being so blur most of the time... heehee... (^_^)k
