Trips in 2004

In Oct, i took my first flight our of Singapore with my friend to Cairns (Austraila) for a 7 days trip. It was my first flight and i was so excited over it. I've taken the small kind of aircraft before when i was visited youth flying club but my friends told me, the experience was going to be very different. True enough, it was very different, the take off, the flight and the landing was a totally different experience althogether. Cairns was nice, but not much to do cos its a very small town with population of 3000 people. We visited the rainforestation high up in the mountians. The view was fantastic! We could see the whole town from the mountian top. Despite the hot weather(Cairns only has 2 seasons, either dry or wet season), it was very cooling being inside the rainforestation. We also went snorkling at the Great Barrier Reef. The underwater view was great! Its a nice place to visit then again, i probably won't visit it for the next 5 years or so cos there wasn't much things to walk around, visit or do there.... Had quite a few run-ins with my travel partner cos i was really disappointed with the place thus not really improving my already bad temper... so sorry my dear that you had to put up the bitch in me.. guess we both had a fair share of each other's temper..

Then came december, my friends and i decided to go Bangkok for new year. A different experience and the first time we're going for a trip together. Initially it was suppose to be 3 guys and 1 girl (which is me), due to some reasons, the only straight guy out of the 3 wasn't able to go. So in the end it was 2 gay guys and 1 straight girl... which is fine cos we all had the same feeling that the room is shared by 3 girls. We visited bedsupper club and i have to say, its a place not to be missed when you go to bangkok cos the dining experience was beyond description. The food was so good. The combinations used in the menu was so interesting and yet tasted so good.
We went up to the top floor of Banyan Tree resort in Bangkok where Vertigo(bar cum diner) was. Oh my, the view was one of the best i've had.
We had our new year's eve dinner at our hotel restaurant and we went to Q-bar for countdown. The music there was fine in the begining but after countdown, the music turned realy boring. What's more, i fell asleep. Can you believe it? Its New Year's Day and i was sleepy! gosh... Which then prompted us to go to another pub. And guess where we end up at, surprise surprise a GAY CLUB where both my friends got picked up. Yes, poor me was standing at a corner dancing to the music myself. Quite a sad thought come to think of it. And before the trip, they did promise not to leave me alone at such places, but i think they were having so much fun that they forgot about it or maybe the definition of not leaving me out boarden to not dumping me alone at the club while they go shag a guy or something. Was almost at the brink of tears actually that night. Smsed my best friends and luckily they weren't asleep and kept me company through smsing. After that night whenever they talk about the 2 guys who picked them up, about meeting them etc, i couldn't help but feel that i was hindering their rendezvous date with the 2 guys. The feeling wasn't great cos i feel that i've become their reason of not being to enjoy fully. I guess they didn't realise i feel that way, which is a good thing. GUYS, i know i was a little bit pain in the ass during some parts of the trip, have apologised and hopefully made up to you guys... would like to travel with you guys again but i'm not sure if you want me to join you for another trip.

I have to say, i am kinda of insecure with this group of friends... i still am. maybe its the close knittedness between them that somehow i feel as if i'm intruding for i'm the only girl and my history with them is the shortest so far... I hope this feeling goes away soon... i'm one insecure idiot!
